Collaboration is a critical component of the Gulf States Health Policy Center’s work to improve health outcomes in our region. By fostering relationships between multiple stakeholders, GS-HPC is able to design educational opportunities and events consistent with local needs. GS-HPC both spearheads and partners with a range of local and regional initiatives to improve health outcomes in the Gulf States.

The UAB Minority Health & Health Disparities Research Center (MHRC) will host the 12th annual UAB Health Disparities Research Symposium on May 3, 2017 at the DoubleTree Hotel. This year’s symposium will take an in-depth look at the role of social determinants in population health.
